How to setup multiple versions of MS-DOS and IBM PC-DOS on one system using V-Com System Commander 8.1

Versions used:

  • MS-DOS 5.0 [C:\MSDOS.5]
  • MS-DOS 6.22 [C:\MSDOS.622]
  • PC-DOS 6.30 [C:\PCDOS.630]
  • PC-DOS 2000 [C:\PCDOS.2K]
  • Novell DR-DOS 7.0 [C:\NWDOS.700]
  • Caldera DR-DOS 7.0.3 [C:\DRDOS.703]
  • IBM OS/2 Warp 4 [C:\OS2]

Hard Disk Setup:

  • 2GB RAW Disk
  • Primary Partition 1 - 510MB [DOS]
  • Primary Partition 2 - 510MB [OS2]

Installation Order:

  1. Install MS-DOS 5.0
  2. System Commander 8.1 [SC8-ENN-2012164-ACCT]
  3. Install MS-DOS 6.22
  4. Install PC-DOS 6.30
  5. Install PC-DOS 2000
  6. Install NW-DOS 7.0
  7. Install Caldera DR-DOS 7.03
  8. Install IBM OS/2 Warp 4 to partition created by SC. Choose Advanced. (Crashed towards end of install)
