How to install the unofficial Windows 98 Service Pack 3 - the correct order that works.

  1. Obtain U98SESP3.EXE
  2. Install hardware drivers (Voodoo3 & Chipset).
  3. Install Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 and reboot.
  4. Run U98SESP3 to extract the files.
  5. Select "Main Updates/System Core Files" option only.
  6. Reboot
  7. Install optional components
